Really neat! What a great country we live in where something as costly AND important as this can be undertaken. I don't think I've ever seen a "birdcage" version of the corsair other than old film footage.

Salutes to Chuck and his labor of love... The XF4U-1 (birdcage) flew for the first time on 29 May 1940... it was one of our
front line fighters in 1941 and went on to serve in the Koren War...
