Too much glare in the open pit mine, from the LED headlights on your mining trucks?

Hella has a solution, they claim:

Should also work on brodozers, I expect.

I'm surprised they weren't pushing something that was incandescent!

I'd put those on my push bumper but anything aimed at mining is gonna be 500% more costly than it should be.

Hey I like it--- though i doubt they'll have good distribution for downrange lighting (highway use). It's probably a bright flood with sharp upper cutoff, so good at lower speeds and strong foreground coverage.

Edit - and further review -- By the pic at the bottom of the page the hotspot seems to be smack dab in the middle of the beam, so what I said above holds true. Bad for distance vision (hwy use), too much foreground light. But they'd make good fog lamps for real low speed messy conditions.

What a concept. I wish auto headlights would heed this: Too much glare, and too much blue.

I know it's a personal preference, but I sure hate the blue, too.
