Have been looking -- unsuccesfully so far -- for the Donaldson Endurance filters for my three vehicles which all use the 3/4"-16 thread PH8A replacement.
Both the Donaldson P169071 Synteq Extended Life and the Baldwin B2-HPG High Performance Microlite Glass Full-Flow cross-reference from each manufacturers catalog to the other.
Question 1: Does anyone know if the Baldwin piece is, like the Endurance a fully fiberglass media?
Question 2: Donaldson manufactures an Endurance filter with specs otherwise the same in a 1"- 16 thread -- but no bypass -- for diesel applications. Can an adaptor be reliably used? (I'm not predisposed to the idea, but thought someone might have a comment).
(Finding product info -- especially getting an e-mail answered -- is slow to non-existent to frustrating. Anyone else having any luck finding the Endurance pieces once marketed under the HARD DRIVER name?)
