oil options for 25hp Merc 4-stroke

I have a 2006 4-stroke EFI 25hp merc with 50hrs. Thus far i have been using merc oil and filters. But now that the warranty is over i was thinking about using a longer Baldwin 1402 filter and 10w30 shell rotila. The book recommends 25w40 or 10w30 boat/merc oil. What do you think?

The OB is on a duck boat that will be used hard. Full throttle running, cold starts, extended idling and overloaded conditions. I want a oil that is cheaper so i can change it more often (25hrs ish). I would also like to use the 1402 filter that works well on the rest of my fleet.

Hard to beat Rotella 15W40 (non-syn) in your application, especially for the price. My Yamaha f75 has high hours and has had the Rotella exclusively. Gets changed once a year at about 100 hours. No complaints.
