Just want to know what filter you all use and a brief description why...Thanks.

I've been using the green-on-white Quaker State filters available at Canadian Tire because I don't want to pay for a K&N oil filter and everything else they stock there is made by Fram I've been told, although right now they're having a sale on the Valvoline Maxlife filter. I think I may take the QS filter I bought a few days ago back and pick up one of the Maxlife filters.

I use a Purolator in my '88 Chevy K2500... it's ADV works much better than any other filter I've tried, including WIX/Napa, AC delco, fram, Super tech, etc.

I have used Wix (or NAPA Gold) for a few years. Just always heard good stuff about the Wix, even before I came here. I am currently using OEM Hyundai filters and have some Bosch Premium I got for free from the AZ rebate. I have ben debating going to the STP filters. I don't like the ST filters, they are way small for my application. Maybe if I figured out the larger size I might.

the Super Tech is a good filter, the Hastings/Baldwin is worth a look,,and Fran Tough gaurds are also in the ball park, better then extra gaurds,pure-ones are close too best for overall eff,,,BL

I have taken to using Napa Gold filters with the silicone ADBV. Very good prices and the local dealer seems to be giving me a 'price' on 'em to boot..!

John.

PS: Don't tell ANYBODY on this forum that I used Fram Double Guard filters for five years...

Honda OEM Filtech filters, not the Fram built ones. The Filtechs are solid built and only cost $4.88. Filtech is a subsary (spelling) of Toyo Roki the maker of the S2000 oil filter.

M1 5W30 in both Honda's.

Staying with the Canton Racing Products filter. It claims 8 micron filtering, with the replaceable filter element, which co-incides nicely with the 10k-miles oil changes that I'm doing with the 2K 0w30 of brand "A". Expensive? But not too expensive over the life of the truck to get 8 micron filtering.

Purolator Pure One - rated as the best or one of the best at filtering in testing. The company says the flow rate meets or exceeds the makers requirements. I figure as long as I am installing a filter it may as well be the best I can find.

I have 3 Ford's so I stick with Motorcraft's. Real good filter at a real good price

. Even at Advance Auto the price is less than PureOne's. I'll miss Walmart's prices though

. I'm trending to longer OCI's so I need a filter that can hold up to 8,000-10,000 mile OCI's.

AC-Delco, Purolator or Wix (in that order)Thet are all vavilable at the local AutoZone and are a good price. The Wix is about $4 more.

Up until last weekend, I've been a die-hard AC Delco user, mainly because I mainly drive GM cars and figured if it's good enough for OEM, it's good enough for me. I bought a Dodge Dakota and have been using AC on it too, partially because of who makes Mopar filters and partially because they're so darn expensive even at the auto parts stores.

Last weekend, I started using my bargain Quaker State filters from Menard's. No problems with AC or anything like that, but at $1.75 (on sale in December) for a rebadged Purolator, I couldn't pass it up. I've got some AA and SuperTech filters waiting in the wings for future changes.

Motorcraft for Expedition

K+N for SVT Lightning, extra flow seems to make the engine sound a bit quieter

Jeep 4.0 - Autozone / Champion

67 Galaxie - 289, pretty much anything but Fram.
