Microgard Extended or M1 Extended Performance

Here’s my filter waiting to be installed next. There 4 total on the shelf and they all look like this.
BTW with louvers, the lighting and angle of shot makes a big difference!

Yes, it's pretty easy to look at louvers with a good flashlight. Those do look good.

That +30% more flow area isn't really going to make any difference in dP vs flow that really matters. But what could cause a real difference is if someone gets a filter with really choked down louvers.

They must have sent someone with some experience and common sense down to the louver making machines to fix them. People do return filters with closed or nearly closed louvers, I have.

I just don't want to buy foreign stuff we should be able to make. I hope the domestic MFGs are watching this site and the multitude of YT videos.

I mentioned this several times on WCW's YouTube channel, I really do think the microguard select is the closest thing to being what everyone on the internet wants in an oil filter for a reasonable price.

I really don't care who makes what and where it's made, I care about the end product above all else.

Exactly. Politics aside I buy what I feel is best for my situation. I do hope US oil filter manufacturers get it together at some point….
