Why are BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi so expensive to fix?

I leased a 2013 S5 and that's about as long-term as ever wanted to get with Audi. It was a sweet car but there was a sigh of relief handing it back in!
my buddy had a bad experience with a Q5. Really nice car, consumed oil, I think it was over $1,000 to fix the headliner hahahahahaha so he used safety pins. Also noone could align it except the dealer and the battery replacement was over $500. He said dealers were terrible at least in the Tampa FL area.

I think the 2.0T has issues with oil consumption. The 3.0 supercharged V6 in my S5 never consumed a drop.
