I'm using it in my 07 Tacoma's transmission (A750F) and the power steering. I've only done one drain and fill with Maxlife so far, previous services were done with WS. Future services will be with Maxlife. The drain fill with Maxlife was done on 4/2017 at ~80k, the truck now has 86k.

I am also using Maxlife in an 05 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a 4L60E. I first did a cooler line flush then a couple years later I dropped the pan and changed the filter/cleaned the magnet. The pan was pretty much spotless, fluid still looked new when I dropped the pan. There was only a slight coating of fuzz on the magnet. It didn't really need doing, but I decided to go ahead and drop the pan while I had the car on the lift to put a new fuel pump in after the fuel level sending unit failed. The cooler line flush was done sometime in 2013 at 4x,xxx miles.... I can't find the paper I wrote it on at the moment. The factory fluid was just starting to get a dark red color, still smelled fine. The pan was dropped and filter changed in January of 2017 with 55,235 miles. The car now has just a few hundred miles shy of 60K, still shifting great. I intend to keep this vehicle on Maxlife if I ever change it again. It's short tripped daily and doesn't accumulate many miles annually, it's never used to tow anything so I figure it'll be sold or traded before it ever needs doing again.

Most recently I used a quart or so of Maxlife to top off an Allison 1000 in a 2016 Duramax 3500HD after a spin-on filter/magnet change. I bought a filter on Amazon with the new magnet included, now I can just swap the magnets each time I change the filter and clean the old one up later for the next filter change. These trucks call for Dexron 6 or TES-295 fluid. I believe they are factory filled with Dexron VI, but I didn't have any on hands and the Maxlife was sitting on the shelf and fit the bill. The truck has 31k miles. I intend to keep it on Dexron 6 until the warranty is up, then I may swap it over to Chevrons Delo Syn ATF HD (Tes-295 clone fluid). I used Maxlife to top it off, but I intend to do a pan drain/fill on it soon with Dexron VI.

What vehicles are you guys using Maxlife in?

2003 Acura TL type-S, bought at 170k crashed in rear, salvage, I repaired it. Had flare up in 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd while cold and shuddered sometimes warm. Did a 3+3 drain and fill, straighten it right out. Now drain and fill every 30k, it has 238k, drives, shifts great.

My Allison 1000 has Castrol Transynd in it.

Using Maxlife in the car in my sig. It had worn out fluid before, so anything would be an improvement to shift quality, but Maxlife improved shifting even further when compared to the fresh generic Dex/Merc I put in there before. The unit always shifts very firmly, but Maxlife refined the shifts a little. Not mushy, just more of a decisive transition to the next gear without slamming, even when hot and pushed hard. Other main difference is torque converter stalls slightly higher when warm due to lower viscosity compared to the original Dex III, which is actually a good thing to build boost and torque given the high final drive ratio in this unit and lack of VVT.

On my mom's "new" used 2004 XC70, the fluid was fried at 86k miles. Shifts were sloppy, sometimes harsh, with a flare developing on the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts. Marked improvement with a single drain and fill with Maxlife, then further more subtle improvements with two subsequent drain and fills and a couple thousand miles of driving. Now unit shifts smoothly with no flare. Maxlife meets the JWS 3309 spec and I had a jug when the car started acting up, so it was a no brainer to try it to see if it improved the symptoms.

Use it in all of my NPR trucks with various Jatco and Aisin transmissions. Both of my GM wagons, power steering, transmissions, and trim tab systems on my boats. Everything in my GM trucks. Transmissions in my forklifts. Just a lot of places in general.

MaxLife Dex/MercLV is what I used successfully in my 2003 Chevy S-10, 2002 + 2007 Volvo V70, 2002 + 2005 Saab 9-5, 2002 Saab 9-3 and 2002 Audi A4.....and others. The 2 for 1 sale at AutoZone (never to be repeated) was great.

My older Volvo's like 850 and 960 love the max life. The 850 had a recurrent solenoid code that went away after using this oil for few months, the code never return.

I know that it can be use on Honda's but never had the guts to substitute the DW-1 that is on the CRY.

All three of my Toyota's have Maxlife for power steering. At random times I'll empty the reservoir and refill. The two with automatic transmissions have Maxlife in them; the 4AT has been flushed twice so it's completely ML now, while the truck had 7 or 9 quarts run through its 14 qt system. The 6AT drives same as always. The 4AT, I thought it shifted better after changing, but lately on cold starts it feels like it's in the wrong gear on taking off--letting it idle for 15-30 seconds fixes that. But it was OEM fluid coming out at 140k and it was kinda ugly. Once warm it runs absolutely fine.

No plans to change at the moment.

So far i have two Kia Optimas , a 2012 with 98K miles on it and a 13 with 103K miles on it. Both have been using it since apx 30K miles. I typically do drain and fills about every 30K miles. I did not notice a shift quality improvement with either. They both shift a little soft for my liking but pretty much the same since new. Im also running it in a 12 suburban although I have not had it long. It is shifting fine and trans temps are where they should be. I also know of several others that have similar cars that are running Maxlife and their cars are doing fine. One guy has about the same amount of miles as i do and the others are a little less.

Not to derail but ATF has always confused me a bit. I have always wondered how we can have so many specs, then have a fluid that comes out that meets so many of them. The only plausible answer that I could come up with is that the specs are similar enough that one fluid is close enough that it just dont matter. Also, auto manufactures make a good bit of money on their own brands of fluid. Maybe one is 1cSt different or one has 10 percent more anti foam properties or whatever. After a lot of reading, I am pretty convinced that this is the case. I think if the Auto Industry wanted to, we could probably have four or five fluids that would be sufficient for most anything. When I first bought my Kia, there was some Hyundai fluid that was being sold for almost 20 dollars / qt. Crazy that many of us can run basically Dex 6 or Maxlife and the cars run just fine.

Isuzu NPR. Medium duty low-cab-forward trucks. Most of their transmissions spec Dexron III. Easy decision to do Maxlife.

By the way, here is the list according to Valvoline.
