What size cleaning rod

.22 caliber browning buckmark. All my .22 caliber cleaning rods are extremely tight trying to fit it through the barrel for cleaning. What rod would be slightly smaller than .22?
 
My .22 rods vary from .202 to .205. Agree with above, bore cleaning not really necessary.
 
The only time I would clean the bore on a 22 rim fire would be if I am preparing the gun for long term storage.
 
Yep......more 22 LR barrels have been damaged by cleaning......

Especially from the muzzle end...

If you must......get a 17 caliber rod....

Run a wet patch with solvent or even just Kroil down the tube

Most 22's shoot better dirty
 
Bore Tech, my go to supplier, has a smaller size rod, that takes a smaller thread for attachments. I wouldn’t use some low end rod or kit for a .22LR for fear of damage.
 
Spray some Ballistol in the barrel, have a coffee or a beer and than spray some brake cleaner...in whatever order you like.
