What does fuel dilution do to an engine?

couple more notes I can add:

Cold temps really contribute to heavy TGDI oil dilution, my level actually rises...warmer ambient temps somehow suppress this phenomenon.

I've broken out the mightyvac in cold temps to draw out 1.5qt then add back 1qt. fresh, plan on doing this til the filters expire at 20k.

for now this is the new reality, mfg's have to know this is happening.

I've learned to live with it and enjoy the power/efficiency TGDI offers.
