Not always on the shelves. I found mine in the auto service section on the counter. Clerks had no knowledge of it.

I second that. My wife's impala (our only car now. Good riddance to the other one) has some scratches on the lights, but since I'm looking for work during the week I'll be able to get to them tomorrow/sunday finally.

Beeswax! That will melt off at low temperature and offer zero UV protection. Try any synthetic polish. Look for one with high UV protection. Also Aerospace 303 protectant may help. It has very high levels of UV protection. Works great on interior plastics.

A number of weeks ago I read about trying Johnsons Pledge Future floor wax applied with a foam brush. Its been close to a month now with no adverse affects and seems to be protecting the lenses just fine. Even takes out light clouding if you don't wish to polish it out.

The simple term to describe the process of headlight deterioration is Oxidation. Its not just simply UV damage.FWIW

Its now been a month and a half and the Johnsons Future floor wax is still holding up excellent with no yellowing and no fogging or pealing detected. So far so good. Its possible I'm on to something here. Who knows.
