***** house in a dense development.
Casper WY?
Seems really overpriced.
Am I missing something her?
Any decent area in the Western U.S. in a nice development with that square footage will be pushing 1 million. Might be a little over priced exceeding 1 million. After all-it's been on the market for 44 days. Would sell quicker between $750,000 to $800,000. At 25 miles SouthWest of Salt Lake City where I live that square footage would be just shy of 1 million-in a 12 year old home.

I think Wyoming is still the U.S.'s least populous state (< 700K) and has a lot of land area.

I would guess, then, that the lot was relatively affordable, but that the house itself was expensive to build.

For a house that looks like an insurance office?
What was the builder/developer thinking?

I like the looks of the house but I'll need to see the inside to see if it's worth over a mil in WV to me.

I have folks back in Kentucky-been through Ohio at least three times-it's beautiful. But as far as places to live-the Western U.S. is very much in demand. It may not be your tastes-but if that home was at $750,000.00 it would sell.

Too much. It is Wyoming. One thing is Front Range in CO (and it would not push that high in a decent neighborhood) or the SLC area. But Casper?

The house itself looks pretty small when you figure the garage and front porch take up a third of the main floor square footage.

The basement finish says 2 more bedrooms but I don’t see egress windows or anything that makes me think the basement sq footage is worth $255/SF. Need a floor plan or interior pics.

It's the whole Western U.S.....really. But like I said..it should be $750,000.00
As an example-

That's Sioux Falls-not exactly wonderland.
I am in the Western US. Either supply is artificially low or something else is up.
My friends bought 5,300sq ft house in Castle Rock, CO for $950,000, and that was before interest rates went up. You can always find some insanely priced home, but doesn’t mean it will sell.

Houses ain't cheap. You gotta pay to play. But in the long run, you just might make out pretty well. I have a crazy theory that people need places to live.

Castle Rock is soft because of the location. It's not Denver, Littleton, etc. What part of you have to spend $600,000plus to live in a decent area of " The West" is so hard to understand?

Agree with others -

Why in the world would anyone pay that much to live all crammed up against your neighbors in a state with as much land and wide open space as Wyoming?!

And the house is what we call butt-ugly. Looks like very modular construction, thrown together at minimal cost, with zero imagination or creativity.

It’s suburban office park-ish.
