VP 2 cycle synthetic at Walmart

I've never used the 2 cycle oil, but the VP SAE30/10w30 is a good oil, I've used it on 3 recent oil changes I've done for people & also to top off a Go-kart that was low on oil, I am impressed at how well it preforms & how long it stays clean.

All my local Walmart stores are selling VP 2 cycle synthetic oil now. I tried it and I must say that it has the mildest smelling exhaust of any 2 cycle mix I've used in recent memory. I contacted VP and asked them what the base oil is and they were very tight lipped about the base oils and would only say it's a blend of different synthetic oils. The SDS doesn't reveal any info on basestock. Anyone running this oil?

This stuff is great. Used to use it until I went 100 per cent premix, made by none other than VP Fuels. But if you like your own mixing, this stuff is definitely the ticket.

I bought some and am running it in an fs131r and fs100rx. Soon to be in my br800x. Such a difference going to this from Honda HP2. I felt like my machines just were not running to their potential on the 50:1 HP2, and I could not adjust out of the funk. After I filled the tanks with this VP I adjusted the carbs and there was a noticeable improvent in top rpm, and they just ran crisper. I am currently using 40:1 because the viscosity is on the low side. Once I get a better feel for what the VP is really all about I'll probably bump to 50:1. So far I'm thrilled. The smell is good, but light. I do like the smell of Saber better, but they are both good. Stihl Ultra flat out stinks, plus it runs too dirty. Never again. I'm no Amsoil fanboy, but Saber is very good. I'm just looking for a cleaner burn. Time will tell.

I also run the VP 2 cycle racing oil at 40:1 in my 2 cycle equipment. Thought is to provide a little more lubrication.

I have a mix of Stihl, Redmax, and Husqvarna handhelds and some larger Redmax backpack blowers. Never any plug fouling or performance issues.

None of my lawn equipment has any exhaust smoke at that ratio with one exception of a 24 plus year old Redmax line trimmer will smoke only if i run it low RPM (under 40 percent of full RPM) for 5 minutes or more. A quick WOT clears the smoke out.

Note: I used to run Saber without issue until I started using VP. Not planing to return.
