That's cool. Did you stay at the auction long enough to see what they went for?

I have an old can of Cenex motor oil that the previous owner of my house left behind. It is SF-SE-CC service ratings, so I'm assuming it must be a few years old. The tin lid is labeled Penzoil Z-7, so it appears it is Penzoil oil relabeled for Cenex. I've often wondered what value it has. Not that I want to sell it, as I think it will be cool to show to the grandkids. Let them see how motor oil used to be packaged.

The Sinclair can went for between $40 and $50. They had several gravity feed pumps at the auction too. One of those went for over $1700. A double sided metal Firestone sign went for ~800. It was a nice sign, but I just don't get it on some of this stuff.

It appears to be a cardboard can and note the measurements in both quarts and liters.

Did it have an API rating?

"Non-Detergent" so I'm pretty sure it was SA. They were empty unfilled cans.
