Agreed, they have only uglier than sin as their only fault. Lately now Honda has tossed away models away that were really popular like the Fit, Element, CRX, Prelude, Crosstour and others I might have forgot. Just put a H23 or B18, K20, K24 in all the four bangers and dump the L15 or anything EV.

Yep, too bad they jacked the the price of their garage box about $70. Walmart is far cheaper now. I

I have no update except that the engine is running great at 267K miles. Remember, I had the head gasket replaced 3K or 4K miles ago because of a broken head bolt on the transmission side of the motor. That caused an oil leak. Anyway, I just checked the oil 2 days ago (which I seldom do - no need) and I'm down exactly 1/2 quart after 3,700 miles on fresh oil and filter. But remember, this K24 motor never lost oil, but VR&P did clean the varnish off the cam cover baffle! IMO VR&P does what it claims.

Those K24's are just the sh!t. I had one in my bought from new 2006 Accord and I got 360,00 miles out it. it was not nearly as well maintained as this example and I truly believe a million miles is doable with this engine. The lack of any varnish is quite impressive.

FWIW, if you buy a garage box on the Valvoline site they appear to give you 'V-Platinum' status on your account, that brings the cost way down for everything on their site.

It doesn't make everything a stellar deal, but it brings most things down to the same price you'd pay at Walmart or the likes, plus free shipping over $35.
