Despite being a CSI fan cops in real life don't test everything for DNA, pretty expensive.
However that bloody fingerprint was Bruckheimer- obvious to us viewers.
Still a good idea to fill out a report. Despite being a good neighborhood you can usually find a college dropout junkie living in his moms basement. This attracts ghetto hood friends for his working X-box and boom! Crime.

Sorry to hear, but this is why there should be NOTHING in your car-- and that includes paper, bottles, etc.
