True, tint a very unreliable indicator of AF type and chemistry today. However, in the specific case of the topic "traditional Green", 'original Green' or 'conventional Green', generally accepted and understood to refer to old fashioned Conventional Green IAT AF. The type used before the LL OATs and HOATS of today, and it happens to be green tint.

The 'traditional green' Zerex that Paulri mentioned above is good for 5 years/100,000 miles (the mileage claim isn't on their Web page but is on the product info sheet). That's around twice the life as green antifreeze from 30+ years ago so the formulas can't be 100% identical, but I'd imagine that they did something like keep the same fundamental corrosion inhibitor formula while finding a way to make it last longer.

I can tell you its a big NO-NO in the Ford Powestroke 6.0! The silicates drop out rather quickly causing the oil cooler and EGR cooler to clog and burst, resulting in a multitude of other problems. IMO one of the single reasons why the 6.0 PSD got such a bad rep. Change the coolant to a real diesel ELC type and majority of the problems go away.
