Uh.... USA1, please stop. I'm not defending toyota, but it is VERY clear that he did that on purpose, and was not a problem with the car. He clearly put it in reverse and there was a moment before it started moving.
Yes I agree. This domestic vs import thing has got to stop. People are free to drive what they like. Mr. USA1, your import bashing and buy domestic(rahra) is getting rather old, and this is coming from a guy who is going to buy a new mustang as my next car.. Toyota employs thousands of people in N.A. Running them down all the time and trying to drive them out of the market is economic suicide.
Well, I am a "buy domestic" guy but after a few test drives I am not as uh, indignant about it. I will still buy a domestic car before I buy a "Foreign" care, just the way I'm wired.

I guess that is a problem too and we all know how that discussion goes: US cars are less American than Toyotas.... The Toyota driver did that on purpose? Is that why the engine was bouncing off the rev limiter for a GOOD LONG TIME? Wake up America, you're lunch is being eaten.
He put it in neutral and kept his foot on the floor, obviously. Two things. He put it in reverse. Strike 1. And then he would have had to floor it to get it stuck, which he wouldn't have done with a cop there. And strike 3, it wouldn't bounce off the rev limiter in drive/reverse
