A stretch? I was trying to make a point - very poorly, I guess - that if 80% of your oil can go longer than 5k, then add a fresh quart and extend your interval. Why drain that oil only to retain it for future top-offs? With my suggestion (80% old oil with 20% new oil) you should be able to extend your interval by a ratioable amount; based on your normal 5k OCI, which may be too short as-is, 20% longer with 20% fresh oil sounds pretty fair.
Unless you're using a really terrible filter, changing your oil despite your filter doesn't make any sense. I an OEM Subaru filter, which is of adequate, but not stellar construction, for ~7k intervals in a turbo-charged Subaru and have not had a UOA come back with high insolubles.
If you'd like to add a used quart of oil, by all means, go for it. If you'd like to post about it online, then expect some feedback. I apologize for my initial response, but the OP seemed so out there that I couldn't help posting something sophomoric.
