1987 BMW R65

Castrol Edge Sport 25/50,OEM filters.

I have Silkolene Pro 4 15/50 in the 1987 TLR 200 as it gets a hard time in trials, but I haven't used it in 2 years. When I get back into it I'll probably used the Fuchs HDEO.

Ford makes a motorcycle? I think not -- just motorcycles guys, not your cars or trucks....

Changing of the factory Toyota WS ATF is not listed in the maintenance schedule at all... which goes all the way to 120,000 miles.

No Toyota motorcycles either.....

Generally this is what I do:

2 Stroke premix street & dirtbikes = Klotz Supertechniplate (20% castor).

2 stroke injection street bikes = Klotz Techniplate.

2 stroke racing MX gearboxes - Redline 80W with "shockproof." The best stuff I've ever found and I've tried tons of different lubes.

2 stroke street gearboxes = good quality 40 weight HDEO like Chevron Delo or Rotella. If I have some motorcycle 4-stroke oil available, will use that too. Street bike two stroke gearboxes are generally not too demanding on lube.

4 stroke air cooled street bikes - 10w30 or 5W-40 synthetic HDEO like Delo or Rotella, or, if its on sale, Mobil 1 10W-40 motorcycle synthetic or Klotz 10W-40.

Redline V-Twin with OEM H-D chrome filters

84 IronHead Sportster 1000cc

Mobil 1 15W/50 with OEM H-D chrome filter

Laverda 1000 Jota, 1974 Back in the 70s and 80s, Kendall GT1 20w50. Mothballed for twenty years and returned to service in 2005. Was run with Rotella 15w40 or 5w40 depending on the time of year. Since the Rotella now is CJ, it enjoys Brad Penn MC oil, 20w50. No oil filter fitted from the factory, uses a fine screen in the sump.(like early air cooled VW)

The engines will go 100k+ if you change the oil often.
