Sythetic/semi syn/universal

So i went to HD and Lowes today to shop for 2 cycle oil. they had synthetic and semi synthtic and one that was a universal in that it worked with all ratio mixes.

Which one should I get and why??the univeral on seem pretty tempting but it did not say if it was syn or semi syn

Both of mine spec synthetic, but come with a little bottle of semi-syn for break-in. I think the general consensus here is that Mobil 1 2 cycle racing oil is the best over the counter 2 cycle oil around.

buy any of the name brand trimmer/saw manuf. bottled synthetics when on sale
buy only enough for 3>4 seasons max. it degrades after being opened...most are thinned with gasoline type distillants to speed mixing
even the Mobil 1 2T racing air cooled 2cyc. oil is made with GrpIII hydrotreated mineral oil, same as most of the rest
