Such a thing as universal 2 stroke oil?

This was the wrong oil to use in a hard working dirt bike motor and it cost him $$$ to repair. I don't think there is a universal 2 cycle oil that actually meets every spec for every motor.
I'm working on my 2nd qt of Valvoline Universal mix oil. I mix an oily 32:1 and use it in my 2 stroke stuff. Lawn Boy take a TCW3 oil. In winter, the left over mix gets run in the 4 stroke snow blower. I work on the idea that it is better to be a bit down in power for the sake of longevity.
 
Yeah, Motul makes some GREAT 2-stroke oils. But, pricey

Was hoping the Schaeffers could be a bit cheaper than Motul ... If not, I'll just stay with Motul ...
