This Russian guy from Murmansk, in Russia, did an experiment with Liqui Moly SAE 50 oil in winter, in Russia!
Well, Murmansk is relatively mild compared to other parts of Russia, Montana, The Dakotas, are colder than Murmansk in the winter.Man those guys have to be tough as nails living in that climate!
This was a diesel engine, so unless you’ve seen similar diesel engines being started at these cold temps, it’s not the same. Diesel and gas engine crank a lot different when cold.It still some "kinematic flow" better than I thought in the plastic bottle. I've seen engines with 20W-50 start-up at -20F and it was close to the same engine cranking situation.
The cranking speed and the difficultly of the engine wanting to keep running was similar with 20W-50 at -20F.This was a diesel engine, so unless you’ve seen similar diesel engines being started at these cold temps, it’s not the same. Diesel and gas engine crank a lot different when cold.
It's the kind of thing you do when society is so backwards that you are unable to take advantage of decades of improvements.LOL those Russians are crazy fellows.
In Soviet Russia, camera shoot you!He ain't no Steven Spielberg, that focus was all over the place.
