Soft brakes after bleeding on 2011 Silverado 1500

One caliper was sticking so it was replaced. The previous owner hacked up the bleed nipple on the other side. We applied heat and tried multiple ways to remove and replace. We decided to just replace the entire caliper.

-We never ran the reservoir dry.

-The calipers are installed correctly, with the bleed screw facing up.

-One rotor was replaced due to the sticking caliper and it was all chewed up on one side.

-He purchased higher quality semi-metallic pads.

We're going out of town for the weekend. We will mess with the brakes some more upon our return.

I'm going to bleed all 4 corners and report back.

(A LOT) cheaper. No compressed air required. Will pull and push.

If you have stubborn air bubbles that are difficult to get rid of, pushing fluid upward into the system often does the trick.

You can cycle the same fluid in and out all day if you want to, so its economical on fluid too.

Was the pedal pusher on the same wave length as the bleeder? Regardless, If you can't get a gravity bleed going, the system is letting in air. Tighten up the connections at the calipers.

If you don't have one a shop wont charge much to do that for you.

BINGO!

Safe journey!

You need to do an automated bleed process with a Tech2 or other high end scan tool that can do it.
