I am Hispanic and White. And I can tell you I've been racially profiled for years in African-American communities. The police harassing me and suspecting me to be buying drugs or engaging in prostitution. Now you know why I'm passionate. I've seen the residents hate the police & I've seen the police hate the residents.

Do you look more Hispanic than White?

Anyhow I give you credit for revealing your racial and ethnic background. If you are not engaged in illegal activity it is unfortunate. But even if I was a minority and was racially profiled I would be accepting of it because I would also accept that certain groups do in fact have higher incidences of criminal activity, lets reverse it, and say whites were the group with the highest rate of crimes with regards to % of pop, I would accept being profiled even if I was innocent, because in the end it will help make the community a better place by catching more criminals.

^^^ Yes, they should - and those that deserve to be prosecuted under the law should be. But as the writing on the wall suggests, crime and terrorism and whatever else will just keep getting worse and worse with time. Law enforcement and the Gov't will end up becoming more harsh on crime instead of trying to be all "PC" over it. That's one reason I believe the police seem to be getting frustrated out in the streets and acting in ways they shouldn't.

Yep...this qwerty fella is a real piece of work. He's against the police while he favors shoplifters. He's all for handing money to bums and panhandlers...yet gives no such compassion for the working man/woman that refuses to beg and chooses to work for a living.
You name it...qwerty will be on the side of the flake, criminal, bum, drug addict, or racist. Every time.

As long as the store is checking all receipts of all shoppers I dont see the issue unless you have something to hide. Its their store and they are trying to keep costs down to try and prevent the scum in this world from stealing. Us law abiding citizens pay for those stolen goods one way or another. This is one area where online retailers sure have an advantage.

My girlfriend is 100% hispanic...being a Mexican born woman. She's experienced a few instances here and there. So what. She doesn't endlessly whine about it like you do. You've got a chip on your soldier and an axe to grind against society. At least certain segments of our society that believe in right and wrong, law and order, and being responsible for your own actions in life.
You constantly gripe about the police and blanket ALL of them as bad cops. How foolish. Maybe it has something to do with you being an alcoholic and a one time street bum? Did you get arrested too many times for being a vagrant? Or was it because you think drunk driving is a game and you don't take it seriously? (According to your own flippant posts on the subject).

You really need to stop blaming police and the powers that be for all your issues in life and focus on being a decent, productive citizen. You've pulled yourself out of the ditch....but your mind seems to still be there.

I don't consider a store security guard to have any authority over me.


If you are stealing, trespassing, harassing shopper/employees, or making any other violations, than a store security guard absolutely has authority over you. If you are just your average shopper making a purchase and than leaving and going about your day, they have no authority over you.

Lots and lots of check cashing stores. Why dont the nice stores build a store in the ghetto? Because the criminal element, such as yourself, think they are ENTITLED to that stuff in that store without paying for it. ENTITLED. The big rich store can afford to lose a pack of batteries, right? And realistically, they can absorb the cost a few times. But if every [censored] steals a pack of batteries, they will be forced to close.
