Come on you guys. Everybody knows FCA makes the highest quality vehicles in the world.

FWIW Chrysler isn't perfect but they do try to make things right when they break. My wife's Cherokee went in for a "service shifter" message in the dash and they gave her a loaner and fixed it promptly. No other issues. I've been buying Mopars for the past 30 years because they all have given me good service. Can't say that for Ford although the Ford I had trouble with was a 1987 Ranger I bought new.

"Service shifter"? *sigh* Whatever happened to it just working--or not? Would a simple cable kill anyone here?

I get it, it's all going electronic now, so, any given switch or wire or what have you could be getting wonky--the fact that it's saying "hey, I think I'm starting to break, you better schedule a repair" is pretty amazing, actually. [And this would not be an FCA thing, since they all use this now (or could be).]
