redline oil in a pushmower?

Major companies oil is oil . I am sure Redline would keep the parts separated. Gasoline stabilizer? Marketing sure works.

Redline might make the mower smoke a bit more until it gets up to temp.
I got some QuickSilver 25w40 Marine Oil couple months ago. Used it for an oil change in the mower. Ran nice and quiet. (compared to other oils in the same mower) The only other oil that returned same results was Castrol Edge 5w50. But now when I changed the oil again couple days ago with more 25w40 - the oil coming out was as thin as 0w20 or 0w16! The virgin 25w40 going in looked like molasses in comparison to the used 25w40 coming out. So assume the mower runs MUCH hotter than a car engine.

You probably did the mower a favor if it has some years on it and was neglected, with the cleaning ability of the Redline.
