Hello,

I was wondering around Costco the other day and the one in my area now sells the Quick Jack vehicle lift. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they well made? Would you work under your car supported by them? Any feedback on them?

I love mine, it's my favorite tool I own. I purchased mine from Costco online about a year ago. I see them in the store now for the same price. Best price I found when I was looking.

I have no worries going under the car when it is lifted. It's very stable if you lift it correctly. Buy 4 hockey pucks for some added height and protection for your car.

Thanks, any chance you know the amperage it needs to operate? I see it can be used with 110V, but how many amps?

Not sure. I can put my kill a watt on it next time I use it. I have it on a 15 amp circuit with no problems.

I bought one awhile back. Have only used it 1 or 2 times. You can not access anything from the sides and the lift lines always get in the way when using a creeper! Went back to floor jacks and jack stands. Lift height is also an issue. If you want to buy mine PM me. I have two sets of lines and the unit is like new.

I see you have a couple pickups. What model number quick lift did you purchase and does it work for them or just cars.
Thank You!!

I have the 5k regular length (costco sells for $1099) and it's great under my prius.

I don't mind that it fits in the rocker panels or inboard frame rails, lets me do exhaust work down the middle. If I had to do rocker work I'd use ramps or ramps up front, jack stands in the rear.

It's technically a "jack" and you're supposed to put jack stands under if you're working underneath. Even though it has mechanical locks. That said, I work underneath.

One should always to a push-pull-tug on anything they have in the air to see if it's secure. I get a 1/4-1/2 inch wobble on the quickjack that I don't get on jack stands.

I would highly recommend the unit.

The 120v unit works fine on any residential line. Just plug it in like any other appliance. They have a 12v unit as well but I only wanted 120v.

I have the 7000 lb unit- there are lots of videos on various Quickjack models on Youtube. Keep in mind your dropping $1200-1500 on a tool, so make sure you can actually use it.

Just fyi they are 999 in my store

It for sure is not good for my 250 and the 150 would probably be to much as well. I primarily purchased it for my cars. I have no issues with the height or using a creeper underneath and I am way north of thin. You do have to come in from the front or back of the car when using the creeper, but it was just a small change in habit for me

They do make a bigger one that is for heavier vehicles, but of course it is more money

Do you disconnect the hoses when using a creeper?

No I leave the hoses connected, they are long enough for me to move out of my way. If I was doing multiple cars a day this would probably not be my solution. I lift a car maybe two or three times a month, so the minor issues I have to deal with are way offset by the ability to safely lift the cars.
