I have a few Craftsman Professional screwdrivers and I like them. Considering expanding my set. Unsure if Sears has/is slowly discontinuing the Craftsman Professional line of screwdrivers.

Like most people I have many unmatched screwdrivers. Adding piece by piece could be expensive. Maybe better to just buy a set.

Or is there something else I should be looking at?

Looking for a quality level of Wright Tools, Craftsman Professional.

I've recently purchased a couple of Craftsman sets..quality same as always.

I have not heard that the line may be discontinued....any links or anything about it?

Is there a particular model/series within these two brands that is best?

I never heard anyone say anything or read it.

I am only talking about the Craftsman Professional ones. When I worked at Sears about 2 years ago they had closeouts on some of the Professional screwdrivers. Looking recently, there are part numbers I cannot not find on Sears.com (but they are on EBAY).

If I break one I would like to be able to get a replacement.

Not that I'm aware of... I have the red Wiha drivers and they're the best I've ever used. I don't think Klein Tools has lines, just insulated and non-insulated.

Never been impressed with the Klein screwdrivers i've owned.

Xcelite, Milwaukee.

Believe it or not i'm freaking loving the husky #2 phillips from HD with the rubber grip and square shaft. It grips JIS phillips on asian cars like it's designed for them.

I had one in my hand one day and they feel very ergonomic. The Santoprene skin provides a good sticky grip. Not easy to find out in town. The place I went to was a Telecommunications supply.

I want to try Klein and PB Swiss.

I have heard/read good things, but dont think I have ever used one, much less seen one in person.

I 'acquired' an old MAC wood handled phillips and a short Snap-On flathead. I like them both. the orange ones Merkava 4 posted up recently look superb! I get tired of having a flathead that is thick as a butterknife.

If you use Amazon, they have a nice selection of Wiha tools with prime shipping.

The Pb Swiss are the best, Felo and Wiha make nice drivers but Klein are ones that I could never warm up to.
The rubber covered plastic handles remind me of cheap cheesy Stanley home owners driver from years ago.
Wera is no longer German made and quality of the steel seems to have slipped as has QC, they were top shelf at one now they are just mediocre.

Yes, I did see an old Stanley the other day and I thought about Klein from all the pics I've seen on the web. I do like the looks and I have heard they are high quality, but I have also heard they are geared toward AC electricians.

Don't get e wrong i like Klein tools, their top shelf pliers are the best I have ever used. They are geared more to electrical work though that's true.
For me that rubber cover grip is a deal breaker no matter how good they are.

Thanks, I should get me some more screwdrivers; I don't have enough.
