Qs euro 5w40

Hey guys. Just put some Quaker state 5w40 euro in my 94 ls400. I switched from 5w30 just because I wanted to and I run my engine hard, and it’s okay for my application. I was comfy running 6k oci with regular qs full syn. Anyone know how long you can run this euro formula for? I don’t know much about euro formulas. City driving. Thanks

QS Euro 5W-40 is good oil. If you run it hard, and mostly city driving - stay at 6k OCI.
I personally still run 5k OCI normally, or 3k OCI in severe service. That's always with store bought synthetics, and some HDEO semi-synthetics.

Most of the Euro approvals it meets have a standard 10k OCI here. That’s how long I run it in our Edge but it is not hard on oil. I doubt your 94 Lexus is either. Your 6k OCIs will be a piece of cake for it.

It's fine to blend in your remaining 5w30. I'm currently blending with my Hyundai.

Yes, zero problem mixing oils.

~10k miles/1 yr which ever comes first. This is the OCI for the majority of the euro approvals on the bottle. You're paying for time in the sump.

Mixing is OK but you might be losing some desirable properties of one, or both, oils.

Here's a recent uoa from another member, it's a good oil, I'm using it in a vehicle right now.

QS Euro 5-40 @ 6500 miles

Any help on uploading a report from ALS. Using a Mac I saved it in notes but can't figure out how to find it to upload. I could take a screenshot but don't think it would capture the entire list. This was in a MB ML 350.
