Wait, weren't the Pure Ones yellow with grippy paint back in 02. My recollection is the Red Blue and Black purolators didn't come out until around 2015.

Yeah, the original metallic blue painted PureOnes were way back before the yellow ones.

Yellow PureOnes weren't around until around 2009-2010 I believe. Searching old threads here would say, as there was all kinds of talk about it when the yellow grippy paint change happened.

Topic P1 a vintage one. Made when ArvinMeritor owned Purolater, before selling to Bosch and Mann&Hummel. Must have been stored in a decent environment.

Man I bought it and other one made same year; is old co worker that retired. Lives in West Virginia still. He had them listed on eBay. Said they were in his closet in guest bedroom.

I wouldn’t use the other one if it is that old. Too much possibility of glue being brittle and breaking off in chunks IMO.
