I use the PureOne in all my cars.Never a problem.Seems to be a good filter at a decent price & ez to find.

At 2 for $5.00 around here, they're impossible to beat.

To get something better, it's at least six bucks.

I cut them apart. I'll have a PremiumPlus vs Supertech for the Toyota I4's here in about 3000 miles. Then a Napa Gold in another 7500.

FWIW, there seems to be two different medias, or they recently changed them. I have two PP filters open now, one has about half the pleats but a better looking media. Not sure what the deal is...

You can't make a statement like that unless you have particle size associated with the beta numbers.

PureOne is 50 % efficient for 5 micron and 99.9 % for 20 micron ratings ... implying Beta=2 for 5 micron and Beta=1000 for 20 microns.

"Just about every filter" does NOT have a Beta=1000 (99.9% effective) for 20 micron particles. Most WIX filters for instance, is only 95% efficient (Beta=20) at 20 microns. Better do some more research.

There are a number of formats to call out a Beta Ratio. But using yours above ... well, I certainly would expect that a filter can get 99.9% of 100 micron particles - if not, why even run a filter?

That's the most common nomenclature. Wix uses the economy of 2/20 = um/um

It's easy enough to figure though. Most filters work on beta 2/20/75/200/1000. Very few are measured on a specific micron level (some are) where you could end up with a 7.5 beta for 25um (or whatever). Hence ..you can probably figure that the oddball numbers (13/17/29/33/42, etc) are the particles ..and the uniform numbers are the ratio.
 
I like PP for app's not sensitive to ADBV material. I have one that is and one that isn't.

I like the Bosch, now made by Purolator. Silicon ADBV and good filtration, near to PureONE but likely less media. Reasonable price at times.

But I'm using MC in the ADBV sensitive application.
