I would pass on this and wait until Costco puts Kirkland synthetic on sale for $15 if you’re looking for a low cost synthetic that is of decent quality. This one sounds like it might just be the bottom of the barrel

Rural King has Providence Synthetic oil for $15.99/5qt Jug. 0w20, 5w20, 5w30, 10w30. Does anyone know anything about it? Not sure if it is their house brand or what,

Yup it’s their house brand just like Harbest Kong made by Citgo was. Good oil, use with confidence for 5-6k

I thought that it goes on sale twice a year? I know that up here in Canada it was on sale last fall and again in the spring. That’s often enough for people to stock up

Exactly. It won’t be $15 in my lifetime. Plus, they don’t clearance stuff like Wal Mart does

Yup, I get their $12.79 15w40 house brand oil. Using it in few lowers out here. No complaints. Delvac 1 ESP still is solid for my focus’

I strongly think this the company for distribution…

They are not the one making the actual motor motor oil .


The original post was as CLEARLY a Warren Oil Company 5 qt container.

No question about that…. That container is very distinctive in what shape it has.

I think you nailed it bbhero....the jugs are identical so I would agree that Providence Oil is made by Warren Oil of Dunn NC (not WPP) and no longer made by Citgo.
The question I have is whether it's identical to their LubriGold or Coastal versions? Probably is.

Not that long....Kirkland synthetic is on sale now at Costco ...Member price 2 (5qt. jugs) for $29.99 until 9/22/2024
