Pre-heating oil before change

I usually buy a dinner and then a movie before cuddling up with it in warm, soft, fleece for the night.

OHHH... oil...

Yeah, bring it in from the garage and let it sit overnight in the winter, summer I just pour from the shelf.

I have 500 litres XD3 0-40 and 0-30 syn oil in bedroom/workout room, I bought all this oil on sell out for 65% off, also 90 litres Mobil 1 0-40 syn oil at 65% off. This oil inspires me to stay longer on workouts, yeah it is hoarding, I may need help.

I also heat my oil in oil pans with Wolverine and Kats pan heaters. I recently discovered Northern Tool and found Kats 150 watt heat pads for $25.00, bought 5 of them, great pads, easy install and in my opinion the same product as Wolverine at 75% less cost than Wolverine. In -40F my oil is warmer in oil pan than stored oil in house, warm oil is always a good thing.

Have you tried microwaving it?

Not much winter in Houston, Texas...but anytime I change my oil I put the new bottles in the Sun or on the Air Cleaner of the HOT engine while I'm draining the old nasty stuff out.

If you are doing Castrol TWS 10W-60...ambient temp is still a bit SLOW!
