The OP of this thread dynoed a Nissan 350z using various brands of motor oil and compared the results. The testing was never finished due to legal issues. But overall, it stated that RP unleashed the most gains out of the batch.. What do you guys think about this? Is this legitimate?

I personally have tried them all....RP is on the top of my list. Valves run extremely quiet and it has a lot of moly in it. Less friction...better gas mileage..vs. what...who knows...maybe so. Not worth a fight.

Yup. And questions like it are addressed all the time.

Short answer: Props to Pro Street for putting in the time and money to do something like this, but the results don't mean anything because the experiment wasn't set up properly.

Same objection applies.

hey, my favorite Ford pro uses RP 10w oil for his dyno runs on 600+ hp engines he sets up.

Gets great HP. But so would any modern synth.

Purple dye is not required for High performance.
