post your latest differential fluid change

2003 GMC 2500HD Duramax 4X4, 210,453 miles,, rear differential today. Out Mobil 1 75W90, in Valvoline Full Synthetic 75W90. Drained and filled 4 quarts. I don't remember when I changed it last, maybe around 125K? But boy, I could not believe how clean the Mobil 1 looked. Almost nothing on the magnetic plug. Almost aborted the drain when I saw how clean it was. No sparkles, like I see in pictures and YouTube videos.

Did the old 2017 Ram 3500 with the 11.5 AAM. Out was Co-op Gear Oil SL, group 4 based 80w140. In went the same. 84,000km on this run. Essentially nothing on the magnet. The oil was dark but nowhere near black.

I'm almost done the 20L pail I bought in around 2014. Should be enough left to do the stupid PTU on the Ford Flex....

Now that the weather has warmed up, my shifting is much improved over the stock fluid using the Gear 300; however, the cold-weather shifting - << freezing - was still just as bad. I've heard people say, at least for the STI's, that RL NS gear oil is the bees knees. Have you considered this as a good GF-5 gear oil for your S4? Also, did you notice any change after switching to Motul?
I put recently Motul Gear Power 75W80 in BMW. Phenomenal fluid so far. Shifts in morning (50’s) better than HPL MTL 75W I dumped.
Will see winter, but so far, best shifting in BMW I ever had, and that includes Redline D4 which is darling among E90 owners.
