This filter was used to filter Maxlife ATF in the power steering circuit of my 97 Maxima for 40k miles and 58 months.
Even though the ATF made the drainback valve very pliable, most of the ATF drained out in 22hrs.
The black stuff on the filter media is glue.
I replaced it with a Wix 51348XP ... wish I would have cut the Fram right away and used another PH3614.

Did the job well and held up great. Thank You for beautiful photos and cut&post 👍🇺🇸👍

Make sure it uses 3/4-16 nipple and the bracket is an orientation that fits your location. I don't recommend EMPI, the nipple thread are not in the same plane as the gasked mating surface.
That being said, it appears there was nothing to filter in the PS fluid, not sure I'd do it again.

I may throw it as a coolant bypass filter between the overflow tank then...
