Patriot oil weight

I change oil in my daughter's 2016 jeep patriot 2.4L.
She has 60+k on it. It calls for 5w-20.
Anyone running 5w-30 in there,s ?
We live in Fl, no real cold weather.
All my other vehicles call forc5w 30.
Just easier buying all one weight.

They aren’t oil burners. Girlfriend has the 2.4 in her other car I.e a 2011 Chrysler 200 and no oil burn

Only reason is to buy 5w 30 only for 4 csrs

5w30 won't hurt anything in my opinion. I checked manual and it states 5w20 recommended and not to use any other grade. The only thing I can think of is warranty. You can run a Synthetic 30 grade that is on the thin side that would possibly shear to a 20 grade. IE Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic.
