Ok to drive with bad flex pipe?

Yep definitely. Since you apparently haven't fixed it yet (assuming it was ever broken in the first place) we can get a bit more mileage out of this thread.

Yes. It's not particularly common, but enough road warriors and "job-to-jobbers" have unintentionally killed themselves while sleeping in their cars. It's truly a sad thing.

You don't need to smell exhaust to get the CO poisoning.
