One could still formulate a CK-4 only HDEO and still not be on Ford's list. The SN doesn't matter with 40 grades, and Mobil hasn't bothered certifying anything for Ford's latest list except their most basic bulk oil. Oh, and low phosphorus Delvac 1 LE 5w-30 is on their "E" iteration of the list.

Oddly, there are some Ford approved lubes on their list that do not have the (purportedly needed) 1000ppm of Phos; we've seen some UOAs where the phos was lower than the Ford imposed 1000ppm.

Typical schizophrenic Ford speak ... Go figure.

You cannot really go wrong by using a Ford approved lube. But I personally am not convinced that Ford's requirement of phos is nearly as important as they imply.
