Blame NAFTA and all the incentives to go overseas.

The government has sold our future by allowing all the manufacturing jobs to leave.

The USA is gutted.

I bought rotors which was stamped "Made in Canada" which is like "Made in USA", it is all rusted. Don't know what kind of steel was used, probably "Made in China".

Made in USA/Canada means nothing thesedays.

Maybe to you. But, for me I won't even buy Levis anymore because they were off shored.

I have bought 3 sets of Autolites in the past 12 months. All three sets had at least one plug that the center electrode was way offset from center. WAY off to the side. Not a good feeling as I put the 'good' ones in and had to go get another pack. Hadnt had problems with them in the past, so I considered it a fluke.

First set was in my Sequoia. Ran great for about a week, drove down to Florida from Ohio, started misfiring at idle. Replaced with NGK.

Second set went into my boat engine last summer. About an hour into their life, the idle went to crud when two of them started arcing again the exhaust manifold. Out they came. Put in AC Delcos as recommended on a boat forum I frequent, problem hasnt returned.

Third set went into my Nissan last week (Monday). On Tuesday my wife called me from a traffic jam, said the car keeps stalling. Pulled the 24-hour-old Autolites, put in NGK's, problem immediately solved, and about 250 miles later now and misfiring has not returned.

Autolite, never ever ever again.

This is just very discouraging. A few years ago I ran a set of NGK's in my truck for a while, they performed fine. The 3.9 Magnum engine in my Dakota runs best on a copper core plug. It's not yet time for new plugs but when I do my next tune-up next Spring I will do some research and get another set of NGK's. Napa carries NGK here locally. My truck came from the factory with Champion plugs, but the Autolite provides (or did provide) much better engine performance.

It's very sad to see our jobs, our quality of work and pride in our workmanship and the performance of our engines get sold out to some other country all in the name of profit.

We've sold our souls for the bottom-line. And are left with nothing more than a hollow shell of what used to be an unmatched industrial force.

Yep. And our president traveling around the country performing his 'One Trick Dog & Pony Show'...... Or should I say hope & change does absolutely nothing to keep Americans employed. I hope I am wrong but in 20 years there will be almost zero manufacturing in the USA.

Running an auto shop as I do, NAPA, C'quest hate to see me coming. I try to give a little portion of my day e-mailing them to let them know how lousy it is to pay a premium for parts that are China junk. Both companies rotors are so bad that it's common to have to get two sets to end up with one good one. It's all about short-term profits. Our "leaders" are selling us down the river while we turn the other way in apathy.Start complaining to companies when you see this stuff. The consumer and their money is all that moves companies.

Believe it or not NGK manufacturers a ton of plugs here. I believe it is in West Virginia.

When I worked at Napa I quite often had to turn brand new rotors out of the box to clean them up and make them true. Why anyone would pay for a new rotor that had to be turned is beyond me but it was quite common.

This!

I have one thing to say ..."TARIFFS" ...

Unless you want to live like the slave wage folks in China and other places like it we need to stop allowing these places to trade with us....They treat their workforce like slaves, pay them like serfs, as well.

I'm all for trading with other developed countries that have decent wages and such (Germany, Japan, South Korea, UK, ect....)

Fair trade is NOT free for all trade like we have now..

I will try and stay away from buying anything made in ANY slave wage country. Period.

While this true about NAFTA, also acknowledge George W Bush's CAFTA which moved even more jobs south of the border. The bottom line is that both political parties (liberal and conservative alike) have sold America out.

...Also I believe the Autolite XPs are made state side and they work great in my car! Those old copper core and platinum plugs are caveman technology compared to the XPs!

The problem is taxation, regulation and litigation. Caused by our undocumented politicians. Alas, its all intentional. Better start paying attention Gents. John--Las Vegas.

I thought when companies make more money (likepaying less taxes in the US) it is used to help the little guy like me? Hahaha to that theory.

I hope Champs are still US made. Honeywell, be ashamed of yourself.

Have to look at NGK and Denso, some of them are USA made. That is hard to figure.

I could have sworn the last time I looked at Autolites they were made in USA. This must be something fairly recent. I am in the market for 6 spark plugs, Honeywell you just sold 6 less than before, and no more of your other stuff either will I buy.

On TV they have shown there is one toy maker, and one flatware maker left in the USA. The flatware maker sells only about a tenth as much as before, and is just hanging on.

It isn't just the people, who buy whatever junk is put before them, but the companies who make it possible. If there were one Chinese flatware maker, and twenty USA like before, the people will just pay the more, if it is more, to get the USA item. Now there virtually is no choice. The Chinese are laughing, I guarantee that.

Yes, they are. I am looking at a set of their Iridium plugs for my car right now.
"Made In U.S.A." stamped right into them!

I'm still disappointed that Champion Gold and Champion Truck plugs have become so difficult to find.

I genuinely liked those products.

Regular Champions and Autolites are just
