I know many here say that M1 is a little louder then other oils in the valvetrain but in my 04 Toyota V6 its loud. I've used valvoline and amsoil 5w30 and they were much less noisey on start up and idling.

The cSt values you've quoted are for the new SM formulation. Prior to that, Mobil 1 5w30 was in fact a thin 30...10 and 56 IIRC. The thinner formulation was perfect for my needs, that's why I'm cutting the SM with 2 qts of 5W-20.quote:
