For a 12000# motorhome 454 engine,I pull lots of hills in the heat.
Valvoline Premium Blue® Extreme
Delo 400le syn
Delvac 1300
RotellaT6,all 40w
Or?????

You're listing two conventional 15w40 oils, both excellent, and two synthetic 5W-40 oils, both excellent. You can't go wrong with any. If you'll have this same oil in when the weather cools, go syn. Or if you want a bit longer protection and don't have to change it at an inconvenient time, go syn.

The Valvoline and Delo are synthetic the only dino is the Delvac

The topic of syn's really boils down to OCIs. If you're going to greatly extend your OCI, then synthetics can make sense IF you meet or beat the ROI cost factor.

If not, then any dino oil from any major brand will suffice, in either 10w30 or 15w40.

Again, you wallet is going to notice the difference much more so than your engine.

Thanks everyone for the input I don't go more than 3000 miles
on an oil change,and I found Delvac 1300 15-40 for $12.00a gallon
so I'll probably go wit it

just trying to be safe

If you've not purchased it yet, shop around for a "sale" on HDEOs. You can typically find some brand for less than $10/gallon. Nothing wrong with your selection of Delvac, but there might be choices that will do just as well for less cash.

Of note right now, I saw VPB on sale at Rural King as "buy two, get one free" with a retail price of $12. That makes three gallons only $8 each!

My point is that with 3k mile OCIs (too frequent IMO) you might as well buy the least expensive stuff you can find. You'll never come close to the finite life of the lube with your OCI plan, regardless of which one you buy.
