So… I did the right thing and bought a zero turn when it’s 18F outside and in January. Been a year or 2 in the making, but I got a Cub Cadet Ultima ZT2 50. For once, I’m excited to cut the grass!

Serviceable ZT-2800 hydros, 23HP Kawasaki engine, fabricated deck, led headlights, and big meaty tires. Oh… and a cup holder for some cold snacks.

Did you get a good deal on it considering you bought it in the winter when demand is presumably low?

Your back is going to thank you every time you hop in the seat . It's really not a speed thing with zero turns that save all the time it's the easy maneuvering over and over that cuts the time out

What oil/filter will you be running in it? 🙃

I have just an older ExMark walk-behind, but a zero turn is a game changer for mowing.

I have a one-wheel sulky, it works awesome and is very comfortable. It is actually more comfortable for my back to be on the standing sulky compared to sitting on a mower for a few hours.
Same here. I can’t sit on a mower for very long without my low back killing me. I have a Trimmer Trap 2 wheel sulky on mine that I like a lot.

OP, you’ll love the zero turn after having a traditional rider. How much grass do you mow?

2 acres, mostly flat except 2 hills around the house that I want to say are about a 8ft drop over 25ft. But they’re only really bad till about 10ft away from the house, as you get further away the more it evens out.

Congrats on the new yard toy! I got my first zero (similar size/power to yours) last spring and it rocks! You'll definitely like the increased firepower..

It sounds like the modern equivalent of my Cub Enforcer 54. I've had it for 15 years and have no plans to replace it.
