I was in advance yesterday and saw one for the first time. If there was an award for best paint job on a filter this would be the winner! The pics on their website don't do it justice!
I'm sure this will turn into a fight about efficiency ratings but I love the paint job!!!

Yes, the color is much more preferable to the puke yellow P1 can. That said, I do/did like texture can for installation and removal purposes, but that's not a major deal. A week or so back local AAP hadn't stocked the blue can yet. Your can pic reminds me of some cooking pans we own.

Hopefully M&H has shown some QC/QA leadership on the inside of the can too.

You going to buy one?

Thanks for the quality pic.

Yeah, I really miss the grippy paint job, even though the yellow color was not very appealing. The new color is nice. How much?

They're running out of server space I guess.

Also, this is awesome! Only filter I'll ever buy from now on. That way, when I burn my hand on the manifold unscrewing the filter from now on, I'll be dazzled into positive thoughts when I see the gorgeous, sparkling paint covered in hot wet oil. Currently, given the plain paint jobs on the filters I use, my hand hurts so band I cuss and come close to throwing the filter against the wall once it's removed. My neighbor's probably don't appreciate it. Or maybe it's entertaining.

Always want to make sure it looks well wrapped after it's in the box.

It took them awhile to get the new P1 cans! Like 6 months after the Boss and red cans! Too bad they stopped using the textured grip, but at least they kept the red gasket

Cant believe a rebrand was enough for people to start trusting these guys again after the tearolator situation. Id never run anything from them again but to each their own i guess

I agree.

I'd have to see a couple of years of NO TEARING before I'd trust anything they make again.

Is the ONE above or below the BOSS?

Doesn't look as blue in color as what they show in their line-up. Thought you has the Boss for a second instead because it almost looks black.

Thanks to ZeeOSix for the efficiency rating information. So it is basically the same as the old yellow PureOne's (99% at 20 microns) on the surface, but with a prettier paint job and no grippy stuff. What are they selling for?

Great job Zee!!!

Tell ya the truth the Purolator red isn't bad at all being 96.5% @ 20 microns. I haven't seen the new blue ones that are 99%. I ran the Purolator Boss for 5k and the red for 5k miles too. Good news for me is I can run the 14612 version that hasn't had any issues. The Boss I ran was the 14610 and the red was 14612. Going to get something to cut them badboys up before long. Just no extra capital at the moment to do it. That is changing soon due to getting more hours at work/ change in status

First of next month it will be on like Donkey Kong. And then we will see what those puppies look like.

I have a couple of applications where the old yellow grippy paint was really useful. One is on a boat where it is very hard to get any sort of tool on the filter to remove it. If I can get my vicegrip hands on the thing and it isn't too slippery I can almost always remove a filter that way, but something like the Motorcrafts are just too slick if you need to apply torque. I had the same problem with my Grand Marquis--just could not get a grip on the dang FL820S and it was hard to wiggle a wrench in there. (OT--but boatbuilders are the worst! After spending most of a day trying to figure out how to get an oil filter off a generator on a 44-foot motoryacht I contacted the owner only to learn that they unmounted the entire generator to remove the filter!)
