I've made inquiries.

Also looking for HTHS/NOACK.

They'll provide the data. I've been able to coax such information out of Fuchs in the past. If you can't get an answer, PM me and I'll give you a few email addresses in their support department.

BTW, you can buy this stuff in the US if you don't mind waiting 6 weeks. I've corresponded with Fuchs in the past and they will import it, but not directly to consumers. So if someone has a small business.....

There is an official distributor in Toronto that they pointed me to when I was inquiring about the 5w-40 last time, I'm just not sure if these two grades are available here yet, so that's been a part of my inquiry.

No "XTL" in the name either...

Nope, the XTL oils don't have a 0w-40 or an LL-01 oil IIRC

They do have XTL in both 5w30 and 5w40 LL-04 oils, which meets LL-01.

Isn't LL-04 low-SAPS though? or at least mid-SAPS? I was under the impression that LL-01 was full-SAPS

Correct

Just an update [sort of] I'm running Fuchs [nee silkolene] race pro 5w-40 double ester in a 1.8T at the moment.

It has made the engine even quieter at idle and seems to stay in the engine as well

I intend to have a lab check a sample towards the end of it's cycle [5000 miles] to see just what's what and to see if it lives up to it's expectations.

cheers

Andy Brown.
