Cordless is the way to go unless you are in the landscaping business.

After fighting a cord for years, then fighting with a gas-powered for an entire summer (Troy Built POS, started fine, wouldn't stay running or re-start hot), I got a Ryobi 40v 300cfm cordless. Best decision ever. It won't blow gravel like some of the gas units will, but handles grass and leaves just fine. Great run time too.
