neighbor needs dealer advice Chevy v Ford

If they have the ability to charge at home, the Equinox EV has 328 miles of range and can be had for roughly $23K new. No more oil changes or trips to the gas station.
$23K new! We Canadians only wish it was so. They start at $48,433 here

Any input on the long term durability of the Trax?
I am not a fan of either brand, but honestly I commend Chevy for attempting to be meaningful in a market Ford has all but abandoned - the low cost SUV. If there not putting on a ton of miles a lows cost one would seem to make most sense. Why have a bunch of money parked in the garage.

Its made by the old Daewoo plant in South Korea. It gets very good reviews. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a61995261/2024-chevrolet-trax-reliability-maintenance/

Honestly how many miles are they going to drive. You should ask around to other people in your community about the dealer. In the end, that should be the decision point since there going to need to rely on them for service.

Did you invert those two numbers? Chevy website shows a starting base price of $33,600, not $23,000. Even with the soon-to-end $7500 tax credit, you can't get there.

Negative, as of right now, you can find the LT1 FWD for roughly $23K before tax, title, registration, and dealer fees but after the $7500 tax credit. They are all over the country at that price.

Here is just one example that took me all of three minutes to locate. $22,540 and I’d also qualify for the Costco Executive discount that would drop it to $21,290.

Equinox Active. The reason behind that recommendation is that the Equinox Active comes with All Wheel Drive and a true automatic transmission. The Equinox LT is Front Wheel Drive with a CVT.

Thanks for the clarification and link. While I'm not in the market, that Equinox EV is a great deal for someone who is.
