After months of research on what AR to get, I picked up a Colt 6920. After firing about 200 rounds I'm happy I choose this one. So far it's using Remington UMC and Commercial brass / Hornady 55 FMJ BT ( my reloads) It will come to about $.16 / round which is a big plus. My local gun shop was also selling P-Mags for $10 each which couldn't come at a better time

I have a similiar rifle for LEO duty use. Check out the Aimpoint PRO for about $400. Very high quality and batteries last about 3 years before they need changed. Just turn it on and leave it on.

havent seen one, that you have, up close but they look like they are better than what uncle sam let me use in 1970-1972.

Same rifle internally, many of the same shortcomings. We have just learned to make them a little less frustrating and have added some exterior bells and whistles. I put all brand new guts in my 70's SP1 Colt and I have a M16A1 upper from the late 60's that I bought years ago from CDNN and it takes everything new just fine. Going to put it on a stag lower and put a LMT bolt and carrier in it.
