Motomaster Filter Thoughts?

Hi There

Just wanted to get thoughts on the Motomaster MPH3387a filter?

Looking to do Oil change on my Chevy Silverado 2011 4.3L WT and thought about using this filter.

I use Synthetic Oil whichever brand is on Sale 8000km or 6 Months Oil change interval

Its a reasonable quality filter that will be suitable for your purpose. Not the highest, nor lowest quality.

Previous posts on this site were showing them as Fram made. So likely depends on your current opinion of Fram/First Brands filters.

The Motomaster OE Plus is good. I use it on my Chevy LS 6.0. They are made by Champ, and there are actually at least two designs out there. One has the ”double plate “. They use the same product numbers as Fram but with MPH in front. The filters are like the higher end Walmart Supertech MP filters sold in the USA Walmarts but not common in the Canadian Walmarts. Use with confidence.

I recently cut apart a Canadian tire OE+ filter and compared it to a Hyundai filter. The Hyundai filter looked superior with about %50 more media and a metal vs plastic bypass valve. I do not consider the OE+ filter worth the money. For $2 more I buy the Hyundai filter.
